No, the Retirement Visa does not authorize work. However, remote work for foreign companies is common.
Do I need to maintain THB 800,000 permanently?
Yes, the deposit must be in the account at least 2 months before renewal and must not fall below THB 400,000 afterwards.

What is the path to Permanent Residency?
The Retirement Visa must be renewed annually. PR is possible after several years but not guaranteed. The Thailand Elite Visa offers a more flexible long-term alternative.
